Parish Councillor for Histon and Impington and a Green Party member and recent candidate for May 2026 South Cambs District Council elections, with many years of local government experience and a strong commitment to environmental and community issues. Having lived in the village with my family for over 19 years, I care deeply about protecting what makes Histon, Impington and Orchard Park such special places to live.
I believe tackling climate change, protecting green spaces, and ensuring development is properly planned must go hand in hand with supporting thriving local communities. As a keen cyclist, I understand the importance of safe walking and cycling routes, better public transport, and practical local climate action that benefits residents.
I have served as a Parish Councillor for 18 years and have been involved in a number of local community initiatives, including as a trustee of HI Friends since its inception and as a founding member of HI Pump Track, helping create opportunities for young people and strengthen community life. I am also involved with the Salvation Army and run a small AV and IT business and a hi-fi electronics repair business, giving me practical experience of supporting local jobs and enterprise.
I believe in open, transparent local government and in giving residents a genuine voice in local decisions. Through my work in the community and support for Green values, I remain committed to helping build a fairer, greener and more sustainable future for everyone in our area.
